Crookhorn students ROCKED at the KS4 music Showcase
This week, forty talented Year 10 and 11 music students took to the stage in the College’s Main Hall, wowing a packed audience with an unforgettable live performance showcase.
The event was all about giving our students a real taste of life as a musician – performing in front of a live crowd, working with our sound and lighting equipment, and experiencing the buzz and excitement of a real gig atmosphere right here at the College.
Their setlist was packed with iconic 2000s hits and pop-punk anthems, with students performing energetic covers including Plug In Baby by Muse, Decode by Paramore, and songs by The All-American Rejects. From powerful guitar riffs and driving drum beats to confident vocal performances, the evening celebrated the music that defined a generation.
Audience feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising how confident and at home our students seemed on stage. Staff in attendance were blown away by the talent and stage presence on display – especially from those performing live for the very first time.
Mr Armstrong, Head of Music, shared how incredibly proud he was of all the performers, describing their commitment, creativity, and bravery as “truly inspiring.”
Crookhorn’s got talent, and on Wednesday night they ROCKED!
