College Production: Oliver Jr.

After three wonderful performances, our production of Oliver Jr. came to a close last night.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support our talented cast and crew over the three performances. It was fantastic to see so many families, staff, students, governors, alumni and members of our local community in the audience. Your support means so much to our students and helped create a truly special atmosphere each evening.

This production has been months in the making and would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our production team. Thank you to Mrs Callaghan and Mrs Street for their incredible direction and choreography, Mr Brunink for Technical Direction, and Mr Armstrong and Mr Cheatle for Sound Engineering. Their commitment, creativity and expertise helped bring this much-loved musical to life on stage.

We would also like to extend our thanks to Not Just Props for providing the fantastic set, and The Wardrobe costume company for helping create the authentic look and feel of Victorian London through their wonderful costumes.

As always, the real stars of the show were our students. From lead roles to ensemble members, including many stepping onto a stage for the very first time, every performer brought energy, commitment and heart to their role. Their hard work, enthusiasm and professionalism shone through in every performance.

We would also like to recognise our incredible backstage and technical crew. From props, costumes and set changes to lighting and sound, the show relied on a dedicated team of students, staff and former students working tirelessly behind the scenes. Their efforts ensured everything ran smoothly throughout the week and helped create a truly memorable production.

Oliver Jr. was a real team effort, and we could not be prouder of everyone involved. Thank you for helping make this year's College production such a tremendous success.

And now that we've bid farewell to Oliver, Fagin and the gang, and look to next year's production... 'The tiniest mite packs the mightiest sting.'
