On Thursday 24th September, we marked International Day of Languages with a range of fun and inclusive activities across the College.

One of the highlights of the day was a special House Competition video featuring some of our bilingual students and staff, who shared greetings and messages in their home languages. This was a fantastic way to celebrate the rich linguistic diversity that makes our college community so unique.

The celebrations continued at lunchtime with a delicious cultural menu in the canteen, where students enjoyed Mexican-inspired dishes. During break time, students also had the opportunity to visit a lively photo booth, dress up, and take part in the festivities while celebrating languages and cultures from around the world.

In lessons, teachers incorporated language-themed starter activities to encourage curiosity about different languages. From guessing animal sounds in Spanish to exploring linguistic similarities and differences, students had the chance to engage with languages in a variety of enjoyable ways.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a memorable success. We are proud to celebrate the diversity of languages and cultures that enrich our College every day.
