As we approach GCSE Results Day, we would like to share some important information to help ensure the day runs smoothly for all students.

Results Day Arrangements

Year 11 students are encouraged to come into Crookhorn to collect their results in person from 10:30am. Staff will be on hand to support and celebrate with them, as well as offer guidance on next steps, if needed. Year 10 students can come in at 11:30am.

New Digital Results Option – Education Record App

From summer 2026, students will also be able to access their GCSE results digitally via the “Education Record” app, a free, government-backed platform. Students need to download the app before they arrive in school and then we will give them the QR code they need whilst they get their results.

Key Information about the App:

• Results will automatically become available on the app from 11:00am on Results Day.
• The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store in advance.
• It provides a secure and permanent digital record of GCSE results and certificates
• Students can easily share their results with colleges, sixth forms, apprenticeship providers, and employers.

Information stored includes:

• Name, date of birth, and address
• Official GCSE results and digital certificates
• Schools attended
• Any support needs (e.g. SEND status)

Results will remain accessible long-term, reducing the risk of lost or damaged paper certificates.

Important – Smartphone Requirement:

To make use of this digital service, it is essential that students bring their smartphone into school on Results Day, with the app installed in advance where possible. This will allow them to access and use their results digitally.

Please note:

Use of the app is optional but strongly recommended– students will still receive their results in person as normal.

The app simply provides a convenient and secure digital backup.

We strongly encourage families to support students in preparing their device ahead of the day to ensure a seamless experience.
