students left speechless from the woman in black

Yesterday afternoon thirty-two of our Performing Art students journeyed to London’s West End to experience the terrifying stage adaptation of The Woman in Black.

Performed at the grand Fortune Theatre, students were left speechless from how immersive and gripping the two-man play was.

Mrs Callaghan, Head of Drama and Dance organises the trip to give the students the opportunity to see how an effective atmosphere can be created using a smaller cast, minimal props and technical effects, and how the production relied solely on the audiences imagination and the actors' ability to capture it.

The Woman in Black was amazing. I was petrified near the end. I would love to see it again.
