Crookhorn Competes in UKMT

During this month, eight students in Year 11 volunteered to take part in the National Senior Mathematics Challenge, run by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust.

This competition tasked our students to solve a series of numeracy questions and let them utilise skills that they've learnt in their GCSE studies in new ways. The competition was aimed at 6th Form students but open to Year 11's that are enthusiastic and wish to challenge themselves.

Out of the eight Crookhorn students that took part, five have been awarded a bronze certificate, which is only awarded to the top 60% of the competition nationally, with the other three only being short a few marks.

Well done to all the students that competed this year. We look forward to you taking part in the Intermediate Mathematics Challenge early next year.
