Year 9 yoga is back!

As part of the College’s ongoing commitment to promoting positive mental health for all, we were delighted to be able to welcome back our yoga instructor and College Governor, Jo Standen, to restart our PSHRE yoga sessions this term.

Yoga is a mind and body practice which can improve core strength, balance and flexibility, and help you to relax, manage stress and sleep better, amongst many other potential benefits. This half-term, Jo has been working with one of our Year 9 PSHRE groups and here’s what some of them had to say about their yoga sessions so far:

"Yoga has been a good opportunity to learn new skills and develop my wellbeing." – Blake M

"The yoga sessions have been very physically and mentally beneficial and a great start to a Tuesday morning. These sessions have allowed us to see how simple and calming exercise can be, and I have really enjoyed all of it!" – Kasia W

"Doing yoga has meant that I have learnt new skills and I have thoroughly enjoyed this experience." - Elana H

A big thank you to Jo for continuing to provide such a fantastic opportunity for our students.
